Fresh Logistics HQ, the EMLC building based in Derby is home to a varied range of professional, friendly and thriving businesses. This week from the EMLC family we spotlight Melanie Waldron from Embrace U Consultancy.

Melanie Waldron opened Embrace U Consultancy in 2017, setting up base locally by taking tenancy at the EMLC in Derby. After a number of life changing experiences both personally and professionally, Melanie’s vision was to create a business that worked with and supported development and growth with young people and adults that are either vulnerable or re-evaluating their life choices. Embrace U Consultancy needed a location that would allow for the flexibility of her business, along with options for conducting training courses at the same location. A little over 1 year, Embrace U Consultancy is still enjoying life at the EMLC and is established as a  local UK Registered Learning Provider with accreditation on the MOJ and DWP Direct Purchasing systems, and recently awarded “Mentor of 2019” from a local charity.

Using technology alongside traditional delivery methods for positive and fun interaction, Embrace U Consultancy delivers their unique Empowering Support Solutions (ESS) model to offer a number of exciting and quality training opportunities specialising in –  Modern Mentoring, Personal Growth, Employability Management Training and Signposting Support as well as ‘Train the Mentor’ workshops.

Melanie commented ‘I came across the EMLC online and was attracted to it’s quirky, 70’s themed nature. It’s a building rich in history and acts as a great talking point when inviting my 1-2-1 clients or host training days and meetings. I have always felt part of the EMLC family, being invited to parties and events hosted by other occupants. Due to the nature of my business I have fluctuating working hours, but there is always someone on hand to help or have a good chat with!’
